Turk Marketing Group Acquires Advance Custom Promotions

Acquisition Weds Two Multimillion-Dollar Distributors

Two multimillion-dollar distributorships have come together in a deal that sees Nashville, TN-based Turk Marketing Group (asi/466458) acquire Advance Custom Promotions of King of Prussia, PA. Financial terms of the deal were confidential. Andrew Turk, owner of Turk Marketing Group, told Counselor the acquisition has the potential to double 2017 revenue to about $5 million.

Turk, whose company is an affiliate of Top 40 distributor iPROMOTEu (asi/232119), said Advance Custom Promotions is a technologically advanced firm with a strong email marketing operation that has an acute focus on the healthcare market – a vertical his distributorship sells heavily into, with Fortune 500 companies on the client roster. “There are many exciting synergies between the companies, which made this a very attractive purchase that presents a lot of opportunity for future growth,” Turk said to Counselor.

Per terms of the deal, Former Advance Custom Promotions Owner Ann Kielinski will remain as a consultant for a period of time to be determined, Turk said.

Turk Marketing Group was founded in 2008, while Advance Custom Promotions has been in operation since 2007, the companies said.

The Distributor Exchange, a firm that helps distributors sell their businesses, guided the distributorships through the acquisition process. Both Turk and Kielinski praised the firm’s work on the deal, with Kielinski saying she was “very happy” because The Distributor Exchange was instrumental in helping her find the right buyer. “The Distributor Exchange was able to locate a buyer for us within the first month and presented somebody we never would have known about on our own,” Kielinski said. “Going through The Distributor Exchange was a lot more effective, and pleasant, than trying to sell my business through other means.”
